Powder and Privilege

The storm is half an hour out and the frigate Resolute is already heeling. You are Quartermaster Pip, and the Captain's prize cannon — Old Marguerite — needs one charge of powder before the Revenue cutter closes the gap. The problem: there is only one dry powder horn left in the whole hold, and two officers are demanding it for entirely different purposes. The wrong choice will cost the ship the fight.
